Is there any scope for nanotechnology in India? Can India compete with the rapidly developing nanotech nations like US and China? How far India can take the advantages of naotechnology and create awreness among the people about its applications and hazards?

These are the questions which will be answered in the coming years, but what now we can do is to develop and design highly sophsticated, integrated infrastructure and platform for nanotechnology revolution.

Due to the lack of managerial talent, resources and proper infarstructure, there is an immense need of developing a collaborative and optimized approach to reap the benefits from nanotechnology and make India as one of the dominant players.

Our constraints for nanotechnology development provides us following practises to adapt:

Going in with partnership and joint vetures with existing players:

This will provide a lot of advanteges in following terms:

Access to high quality, cheap, readily available infrastructure and lab facilities

• Availability of governmental support in terms of grants and loans
• Easier entry to global marketplace and access to capital
• Stronger IPR protection

It will help in framing the policies and establishing the required platform for global nanotech development, the requirement of high quality infrastructure and good management practices.

Collaborative approach shares risks and costs for new product development:
Due to diversification in various business practises there will be reduction in risk factor and will open fields fro innovation and new opportunities.

Exploiting diverse competencies to generate value:

As businesses are becoming increasing interdependent, there evolves a  need to operate in network of value generating agents, working on the basic models of outsourcing and innovations in new product development.

Lot needs to be done, and I as an Indian will defenitelly contribute for the growth and develoment of nanotechnology in our nation, because for me growth is pride.........
