Remember those Frequent Flyer Schemes, by Indian Airlines. They were instant success because more and more people were inclined towards it giving benefits to not only the passengers but also to the companies.

Now in India there are a lot of Airlines and each and every company has its own set of frequent flyer scheme but in a different format. Going with the trend two leading German companies having operations in India — Deutsche Bank and Lufthansa Airlines — on joined hands to launch the Miles & More credit card in India. The credit card, launched in association with Visa International, packages all travel benefits required by international frequent flyers.

Miles & More is the frequent flyer program of 12 European airlines. It was launched by Lufthansa (LH) in 1993. The program enables its 13 million members to earn and redeem frequent flyer miles on all of the fully integrated airlines as well as all the Star Alliance members. Furthermore, all customers are able to build status, which gives them access to certain privileges. Miles & More is free of charge and everybody can sign up.

The Miles & More Credit Card comes with the following benefits:

  • Add power to your miles: Earn award miles for every Rs.100 spent on your card

  • Welcome bonus: Get welcome bonus award miles after your first transaction on your card

  • No expiry of award miles: Your award miles do not expire, use them at your convenience

  • Savings on international roaming: Great savings on your roaming costs from Matrix Cellular Services

  • Lounging in style: Get access to over 500 airport lounges worldwide

  • 24 hour Concierge service: Experience a privileged life with your personal assistant just a call away

  • Other benefits: A host of other privileges to offer convenience, savings and security

These are just a few advantages that you can get out of these cards. But we have to wait and see how this scheme goes along in the Indian market which is flooded with such schemes by other players and if it gets approval of the people then how the competitors respond to this. There is no other way but to look for the results with the passing of time, I will keenly looking forward to this, how about you.
