A whooping 62.7% respondants of a syrvey said that the CRM data does not help them in finding leads. That’s right –

almost two-thirds of the people who participated in the poll don’t get leads from their CRM systems

Coincidentally, another study by CRM software provider Infusionsoft, which targets the small business market, showed

that 65 percent of small business owners cite an inability to consistently and efficiently follow up with leads as

the top concern.

  •  Too difficult to follow up with cold, warm and lukewarm leads consistently and efficiently

  •  Can’t properly track and manage prospects and customers

  •  Need to integrate online and offline marketing efforts

  •  Poor email deliverability

  •  Too much manual grunt work in the sales and marketing process, no automation

  •  Can’t track sales activity

  •  Lack of centralization, too many different programs and systems

  •  Too costly to maintain servers and IT staff

  •  Too difficult to manually manage multichannel campaigns

  •  One-dimensional marketing

Obvious opportunities are  suggested by this data for CRM consultants and vendors, especially in the SMB space? And do those opportunities remain because customer don’t have the bandwidth to go out and compare solutions, or because solution providers don’t have the marketing wherewithal to reach these customers?

i feel the CRM data is useful...not only for the leads but also to track the buying behaviour of customers, segmentation of customer based upon the data is possible to manage them more effectively

According to me CRM does help you to get leads, you will have a huge database of customers with you with their buying behavior, based on those database one can segment the customers based on the product and buying behavior...

even i feel that it is very important to understand patterns in which way customer buys the product and different methods are already there like in case of retail outlets where video captures the way customers sees the products which are there on the shelf...
