 Extreme Agility? Try Event-Driven SOA

Every organization has zillions of events composed into it.To keep pace and stay ahead of the competition, today's CIO must be able to respond to changing conditions on a dime, even in the face of today's massive data volumes.

What I think  a huge flow is  mere processing the data. In today's competitive environment, IT must rapidly recognize trends and patterns and proactively use the information to deliver strategic business knowledge and enable real-time decision making.

What could be the basic use of Event-Driven SOA ?

Event-Driven SOA actually combines SOA's request-response and EDA's (Event-Driven Architecture) event publish-subscribe paradigms, this leads to support of events and services within SOA that allows designers to map the application design to the business problem, which typically consists of both events and requests/responses.

Event driven computing also helps in filtering , aggregating and correlating the events. In this computing is brought into the mainstream IT environments by embedding capabilities into existing service-oriented architecture (SOA) deployments.

This gives the birth of event driven service oriented architecture.

For every technology that comes into existence it has some advantages or it is above the one in the existence,

so its advantage is:

integration of request-and-response paradigm of SOA with the publish-and-subscribe model of an event-driven architecture.

Here Java dominates

such a combination gives extreme agility to business processes. Event-driven SOA allows applications to react intelligently to changes in conditions, whether the change is the impending failure of a hard drive or a sudden change in stock prices.
