 Position: Data Warehouse Architect

 Total experience – 10+yrs  

Responsibilities & Key Result Areas

 The Data Warehouse Architect position is a technical, hands-on role.  You will undertake Enterprise Data Warehousing and Data integration initiatives within the Data Services Group

 Competencies – Technical / Functional and Managerial

 The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and deploying Enterprise-level Data Warehouses and associated Operational Data Stores and Data Marts, providing technical guidance to other resources, managing projects on a global basis, and have experienced in a variety of software development concepts and practices for complex n-tier, service-oriented development environment. 

 (3)  Level of interaction - External & Internal

The role requires Excellent Communication Skills AND Demonstrated abilities to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders

 (4) Education / Experience / Skill sets 

• BE degree or related experience
• Total experience around 10 years with Oracle technology, Data Modeling and Data Architecture
• Strong understanding of DW concepts/Design and implementation experience.
• Health & Life Sciences experience a plus
• Experience with Siebel CTMS a plus
• Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling
• Solid understanding of service oriented architectures, application frameworks and system integration methods
• Must have excellent problem solving skills
• Experience with full lifecycle development projects, and Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with emerging technologies and software development best practices, particularly related to Enterprise Data Development
• Demonstrated abilities to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders 

The Data Warehouse Architect will have a strong level of experience in the following: 

• Development experience with Oracle database technologies
• Building of Operational Data Stores (ODS), Data Marts, and Enterprise Data Warehouses
• Developing Technical Specifications and Architecture Blueprints
• Business and Technical Metadata Management
• Data Analysis and Data Model Development (i.e. logical and physical models)
• Working knowledge of Data Quality Management practices using commercially available tools
• Familiarity with Data Governance Concepts and Processes
• Enterprise Data Integration experience leading EAI and/or ETL tools and OLAP tools
• Familiarity with Master Data Management concepts
