The crux of the Law Minister Mr. Moily’s thoughts on Second Generation Reforms in Legal Education:
- The minister suggested of the institution of four national-level 'Centers of Excellence' at a regional level to focus on upgradation of faculty skills, and one national law university in every state.
- The minister seeks to appoint an Empowered Committee to monitor the existing 913 law schools and suggest upgradation.
- He further suggested a cooperation of the public and private sectors for specialized law schools.
- The minister also intends to establish an online National Law Library for free access and law libraries in every district.
- He further proposed a framework including internships in courts for students and professionals.
