The mobile services market represents a huge opportunity, with revenues set to grow by 40% to €662 Bn worldwide by 2010. Non-SMS data traffic is becoming increasingly important, accounting for a growing proportion of the total revenue. Service providers that aim to win a significant share of this revenue will therefore need to deliver compelling new data services to their customers.

The other trend, especially in mature markets, is the growing focus of service providers on subscriber loyalty. Attracting new subscribers will always be important, but retaining loyal customers can have a dramatic impact on revenues. The Yankee Group has calculated that keeping a customer for one more year raises the lifetime value of that subscriber by up to 50%. Whether it’s attracting new users or retaining existing ones, the key is to deliver what customers want. Successful new services are built on a deep understanding of end-user behavior, their social networks and communities. The customer experience must be truly enriching.

There are five ways in which you can increase your market share. Thesea are:

  1. Expand Subscriber base.
  2. Promote Data Services
  3. Ensure a positive end user experience.
  4. Diffenentiate your offerings
  5. Add enabling technologies. 

Even after applying all these Mobile Telecom Business is facing certain problems these days. There are two which are haunting the business in a very big way. These are:

  1. Struggling with a lack of fresh customers, and the headache of how to get more out of existing one.
  2. The emerging market operators, whose biggest problem is rolling out networks fast enough.

Can you suggest means to overcome these problems. Please tell me these so that we can together find out a model to overpower these problems.
