Censorship in television is a very debatable topic in today’s media and social realms. Today there is much controversy regarding whether there should or shouldn’t be censorship of the media. Censorship should not be imposed on citizens by the government or other agencies; adults have a right to view or listen to what they choose.

I found this topic very interesting and debatable one, because there is involved an element of ambiguity to your decision making abilities. In the above case what will you do?

Will you support the media of their right to showcase all the information and broadcasting or will you refrain yourself and your family from watching the programs that have potent affect on the morale and behavior. It is obviously very difficult to answer.

One of the most important cases that Indian history has witnessed pertaining to media censorship was during the Gujarat riots. What exactly happened was that most of the media companies were ordered to black out and refrained from showing anything that was provocative, in order to care for people's sentiments.

But in the same time, Situations were worsened and became more damaging as the people don’t have any other options other than to rely on rumors. Media was not able to implement all its rights of censorship to showcase the true and clear information because of various political constraints and also can't avoid the spread of rumors and false allegations.

In that case what will be your decision? Will you support media of their censorship rights of showcasing the human carnage or will you advocate them to refrain from showing such provoking incidents or will you support the legal and political constraints to prevent the provocation in people’s behavior. In both the cases , state is suffering  and despite of your abilities and rights you can’t make a move to show the true news, to prevent the rumors andto oppose the political constraints.....

There are various other lots of issues relating to the media censorship pertaining to Gujarat roits, but as I promised you earlier...It is adebatable topic...I will also like to refrain myself to that particular issue.
