Well the use of Digital Signal Controllers is high :-
As digital signal controllers achieve new low price points and package sizes, we see new worlds of opportunity waiting for just such a solution,” said Sumit Mitra, VP of Microchip’s digital signal controller division.
“Embedded applications work no better than the quality of their input, which is usually some sort of sensor,” Mitra continued. “Now sensor processing can be handled in an entirely new way, whether it be analyzing signals in the frequency domain, improving signal-to-noise, or simply making an inexpensive sensor act like an expensive sensor.”
Using libraries and filter design tools, engineers using the parts can implement digital filters to replace analog filters to reduce noise. The dsPIC33FJ12GP’s on-chip ADCs, with up to 1.1 Msamples/s, permit signal oversampling to improve signal-to-noise ratios.
Spectral analysis can be conducted adjacent to the sensor, permitting more robust application performance and a digital connection to upstream processors. In addition, the dsPIC33FJ12GP family has sufficient performance and resources to serve as the sole processor in some smart-sensor applications.
Microchip Technology announced at Sensors Expo the 40-MIPS dsPIC33FJ12GP family of digital signal controllers (DSCs) for smart-sensor applications. The units come in 18- and 28-pin packages as small as 6x6 mm with prices starting at $1.99 each in 10,000-unit quantities.
With dsPIC33FJ12GP small package size, the processor can be moved close to the sensor—eliminating lead noise and offloading work from a central processor.

Ok I can give the present example of PR which is TATA Nano this car got a great hike not because it had hughe marketing but only because of a good PR of the comapny. Even after seeing this how can people even think of that PR would be taken over by... |
There are many cusotmers who get irritated by SMS and if this medium would be used for MF it can create a negative impact on customers in terms of service. |
