But my Question to all would be, Does Google really project "open-ness"?

Google has chosen to withhold the development source code of Honeycomb & is made available to only OEMs. which calls into question the "open-ness" of this Android release.
However Google answers- The source code will be released for Honeycomb in the near future. The reason for delay, according to Rubin in an official android blog post, was because Honeycomb was rushed for production of the Motorola Xoom and that when Honeycomb is suitable for developer use is then when it will be released. That means to say Motorolla xoom is not running on suitable OS (Hard to believe!), LG Optimus tablet is also running on Honeycomb, similarly many other OEM devices then how do they say the OS is not suitable for release.( something fishy!!)

Android has the world like a massive Tsunami and with every passing day its appeal keeps getting stronger. More over Phone/Tablet users are not complaining, they are busy enjoying the ride".
A recent IDC report claims that Android is the only OS, Which has registered positive growth.Android OS is activating close to 200,000 devices everyday!

The increasing trend of accessing Internet on a mobile device and  Google's considerable presence in web based apps like MAPS, Google Voice gave the way for Android, in addition to that it's collaboration with hardware manufacturers like Motorola, HTC (who were desperate to overcome competition from Apple & Blackberry) laid the right platform for the Android Growth.

These companies had to just concentrate on hardware (which got a boost with high speed & multi-core processors from TI, Samsung, Nvidia etc) & software for their devices while Google gave them OS ready with thousands of Apps to download from Android Market & try on these devices. Literally Users went crazy!!

Now with tablet ready OS, Honeycomb launched...The Android Mania will just multiply.

Well it is not possible. because there are other system that are equally acceptable as android. also this system is available in very few devices of very high range. while windows is in almost every person use and is available in cheap devices like in china phones also. and we know china product had make a market in india. 

Very true. The wide acceptability will force towards innovations.  
I feel in future a smartphone should remain only for accessing the apps/utils.  The processing prower and display size should be used only as interface. A cloud way.  We know faster connectivity will not be an issue in future.  So handheld devices should act moreover as dumb terminals and immune to OS.

The strategy adopted by Android to get into a new launched devices is supported by the fact that, usage of Non-PC devices have increased a lot. People are increasingly moving towards Non PC computing and as the usage is for PC is still higher for Browsing and E-Mailing, the devices like Blackberry, I-Phone, I-Pad, Galaxy Tab etc. gives a much better experience and ease in mobility. 

Again the application store and attractive UI and open SDK makes android enabled devices feature rich.
