Orkut's new features are out now.....

With the growing dominance of Facebook & Twitter, Orkut has added some new features and this list features one of the most requested feature that many have been waiting for on orkut all these years, something like, that of being able to delete multiple scrap’s at one go.  And there are many such new features that are listed below.

And only few selected users who are chosen by Orkut are able to enjoy this right now, but if someone gets invited by them then they can also enjoy the new orkut interface which looks really good at the moment.

There is also a ongoing competition where random users will be getting invites for the new Orkut interface.

Here are a list of new features that I was able to notice in several forums and websites where new Orkut interface is getting listed:

    1. Option to select multiple scrap’s at a time and deleting them.
    2. Option of being able to view either 10/20/30 scraps at a time.
    3. A new Reply button for each scrap means that you can reply to scraps from your scrap book itself. This was a a feature which was until now enjoyed by firefox users with the Orkut ScrapEasy extension.
    4. Now one can choose to get friend requests from everyone or only from people that speak the languages that one has set in the profile.
    5. In the messages sent to communities, i now find an option to ‘Ignore this person’, which means you can block messages from reaching you when the ignored person posts to the community.
    

With all these new features Orkut looks tight and much more comprehensive and on par with Facebook & Twitter :)
