The idea behind successful recruitment advertising is to qualify suitable candidates in and the unsuitable out. A poorly written recruitment advertisement often leads to receiving too many applicants which leads to far too much time spent on sifting through resumes and interviewing candidates who aren’t actually qualified. The message that a good job ad should convey to a job seeker are the benefits and advantages of working for you rather than your competitor. Here area few tips to make your recruitment advertisement more effective

  1. 1)      Do not mix information like requirements, job description and contact information. Arrange these details carefully. Make use of sub headings, bullets etc to clearly communicate your message.
  2. 2)      Make sure to give a concise company description like the products and services your organization provides.
  3. 3)      Do not use internal jargons to describe the job titles. Be descriptive about what you are looking for so that qualified candidate don’t see title as barrier Give detailed  and clear description of the positions requirements and responsibilities.
  4. 4)      Be positive and project the company’s image in a positive way.
  5. 5)      Do  mention the benefits and describe what’s in it for them
  6. 6)      Make your advertisement personal and adopt a conversational tone in your copy. Make your copy seem as if you are speaking directly to the job seeker.
  7. 7)      Remember to include correct and clear contact information
  8. 8)      Make your advertisement visually appealing, impressive and attractive. Design the layout in such a way that it attracts any candidates’ eyes. Always insert the company logo as it will generate more interest.

Good information for the recruiters but nowdays it seems they dont have enough time to follow such steps. Also i feel that may be they want to recieve as much applications as they can, no matter it matches with the desired profile or not but just to keep for future references. Recruitment agencies often play with the job seekers by referring them to the wrong positions.

Mr Amith ji, I agree with you all point, this is really good information, All point should be consider while giving the recruitment advertisement. As well the recruitment advertisement is also growing very well, many advertisements are facing repeat and majority due to high job turnover ratio, it becomes necessary to give advertisment.

Here by i would like to add some more point which are also very effective..

(1) To decide advertisement size properly as per information or matter. Size is very important while giving advertisement.

(2) Design of advertisement should be attractive , so job seeker will attract and they see first view on our advertisement.Design of advertisement should be always company theme base and also as per mentioned by Mr. Amith ji logo should be require in recruitment ad.

(3) Website should be necessary if possible. if website will give in ad, job seeker will take more information about company and also get more confidence about company. and company will also getting good candidate.

Thanks, Amith ji, you create nice article and shared good information..
