Nokia 6600i slider phone forays into India. It’s a superbly designed slide phone showcasing slew of new features than Nokia 6600.An elegant sleek slider phone. Nokia lays claims that this handset is its smallest 5Mp slide phone till date. The phone is available at approximately Rs. 14000 in India.

The handset camera features double LED flash and auto focus with an 8x zoom and maximum photo resolution 2592×1944 pixels. It has also a second (front) camera 6600i sports 2.2 inch colour TFT screen with colour display of 16000000 colours and resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Yet, the phone does not feature external display.

Nokia 6600i comes equipped with Nokia maps, accelerometer, IM, 3.5mm jack, Flash Lite 3.0, and Opera Mini. The phone also comes with features such as tap commands, snooze alerts and the option of silencing or rejecting incoming phone calls.

T Nokia 6600i handset’s entertainment features are FM radio, stereo music player supporting formats such as MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA, and video player supporting 3GP, MPEG4. The 6600i features XHTML browser, Java MIDP2.0, OMA DRM 1.0 and 2.0.

The Mobile allows sharing images and videos, which can be recorded with its VGA support at 15 fps and QVGA support at 30 fps, thru internet.

Nokia 6600i has 20MB of internal memory and a 1GB micro-SD card. Nokia 6600i also has a memory slot to expand the external memory up to 16GB. The phone comes equipped with Li-Ion 1000 mAh (BL-4U) battery offering standby time of 348 hours and talk time of 4 hours.

The 6600i features Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP and USB MicroUSB v2.0. The 6600i is capable of fax / data transfer.

The 6600i phone provides WCDMA 850/2100, GSM/EGSM quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 support, based on the series 40 platform. The 6600i offers support for 3G, EDGE, GPRS, GSM, HSCSD, UMTS (3G) networks, and 850, 900, 1800, 1900, 2100 service.
