California native Hardit Singh Aurora has gifted $367,000 through Singh Foundation to fund an endowed chair in Sikh and Punjabi studies at the History Department of the University of California, Santa Cruz in memory of his son Sarabjit Singh Aurora. The chair will support research and teaching pertaining to the Sikh community from a multi-cultural and global perspective.
