Concerned about hype in the nanotechnology sector? Wondering what all those billions of dollars in research funding have yielded?

Are you curious about the possible commercialization of nanoporous materials or nanocoatings? What will be the next hot commodity in nanotech research???????

So here it goes "The worlds Smallest Radio", World's tiniest radio out of a carbon nanotube.

  • The nanotube, placed between two electrodes, combines the roles of all the major electrical components in a radio, including the tuner and amplifier.

  • It can tune in to a radio signal and play the audio through an external speaker.

Do we need this.. Frankly speaking i don't know..Because i have small radios..forget radios we have I Pods..and this again requires external speakers..if it requires speakers than what is the benifit of it being small?? But as it is said every new innovation comes with new ideas...May be this may create some revolution  in the radio  market..Lets see  What are its application and features..

  • While the practical application of the radio is uncertain, it could be used in biological and environmental sensors.

  • the radio could provide wireless communication between the tiny biological sensors and an external monitor.
Sounds good..But will it work is a Big question mark!!!!!!!!
