An overview of the emergence of new technology in automobile industry in the recent times indicates a series of exciting and interesting changes that have heavily influenced the global automobile sector. New technological discoveries have developed a new path further development.
Have you ever thought of a car as a information appliance. A wireless network of vehicles, which could enhance the development of mobile economy too.
This actually includes, to put the intelligence into vehicles and connect them via satellites and the Internet.
Here what actually done is connecting cars as computer nodes. To connect vehicles to each other would only require sensors on the vehicle's roof and/or bumpers. In such a fashion, vehicles would constantly enter and leave wireless networks, much as we now drive from cellphone node to node. Vehicles in the network could then communicate with each other, as they wished.
In fact, this could solve Internet and cellular access problems. No tower or wireless access point would need to be in range. The mobile vehicular network would bypass those limitations by connecting vehicles to one another to form a "mobile Internet" in the form of a wireless LAN.
With such a network, daily driving would be safer because each vehicle would "know", in real time, about collisions or changes in traffic patterns ahead. One vehicle in a "mobile Internet" would automatically alert connected vehicles to any danger, and would prescribe alternate routings or options.
A mobile vehicle network also would provide an essential lifeline for emergency vehicles and personnel, and would stay active even though disaster may strike traditional communications systems.
With car markets growing significantly, production costs declining, tastes and preferences of the consumers undergoing a change and innovation and competition becoming the norm, the Indian car makers are in the midst of positive upheavals that are indicative of growth and success of the car industry.
