very simply good management skills depends on a particular intelligencey....it means how he/she is creative and disciplined while performing his/her job.

i think both male and female do good job as manager because now days we can see that at work ,where both do their jobs. Now their is lot of female present who is leading their companies in the market successfully. So does not matter who is better or not.it totally depends upon ones personal traits.

Gender bender!! Well let me put it this way, whatever the gender, whoever takes the right decision at the need of the moment is a better manager!!

Management ability has nothing to do with gender. Why are we even debating this?

I have had the opportunity to work with both types of manager and I found that women managers are not bad at all but sometimes they tend to go over the edge when in time of crisis. where as the male manager manages to be stable at time of crisis. Therefore I give my points 40 [F]/60[M]

To get this right, let me first define who I think is a manager. Someone who facilitates a team of professionals. Manager may or may not be a good leader. In terms of facilitator, both man and woman can be good, provided they dedicate and commit to the job. Leadership is definitely different. It involves a lot more qualities specific to the job. To illustrate, the captain in cricket is a leader. Cricket team manager is a different profile. So management has nothing to do with gender.

I feel both are competent it just depends how well each one does. Yes but to conclude to me females are better managers. I did really observe that one cant argue much with female mgr. as compared with the male mgr. because theres always a bit soft corner for females. Also, a female with practical appraoch is a deadly combination ;)

i think 'better' is really a relative term, certainly women have some inherent talents and so have men.
but an excellent manager can be found in both the sexes. It is more a personality trait rather than gender dependent.
but the sad fact is i have rarely found a good manager-male or female. That SOB is a unicorn.
But females are good eye candy atleast!!!!

Biologically, females have an anatomical advantage. Technically, there should be no difference between males and females. The bottom line is for the job to be done efficiently.
So, let us concentrate on doing our jobs without distracting ourselves about the gender of the boss.

Both are as good as each other. In INDIAN women are the ones who takes care of the family (looking after there family ) and they are believed to be better at managing home whereas men are generally better at managing finance/industry/armed forces etc.

Its not about MEN or WOMEN its about how they take the responsibility...For me both are better managers.
When the women are able to manage a family consisting members with different needs and temperaments, they are the best in managing the business or career
