Travel from Goa to Delhi : A case study                                           Dr. Ashutosh Karnatak  27 th November 2011 was a day of learning a lesson which we have got while travelling from Goa to Delhi.  Me and my colleague Ramesh were travelling from Goa to Delhi by a morning flight ,which we had boarded after getting up at 4:30 in the morning. Did you know the days/dates between 2nd and 14th September in 1752 did NOT exist? This is because this was the year that the calendar changed from the Julian (Julius Caesar) to the Gregorian (Pope Gregory XIII) calendar and because the Julian calendar did not have leap years, they had to cut out dates to make the years correct for the new calendar. So the days went 1, 2, 14, 15, 16....30. But the month still ended with 30. So people worked for 11 days less but got paid for 30 days. This is how paid leave started. England was the last country to adopt this system. Â Â source: www.interestingfacts.org

Ya definitely one should go for skills. Marks and percentage can only help a little. You might get some preference while getting placed from the campus, but after that only your skills and talent will help you in your achievements ahead.

I hate those who see first marks on cv rather than skills interests. suppose a freshers got 65% in BE/B.tech but not having even 60% mark in 10th or 12th , then he or she is not eligible to Most of the IT companies. shame on Indian education...

YOUR INHERENT TENDENCIES ARE IMPORTANT                                                                                     Dr. Ashutosh Karnatak  When we go out in the sunny mid summer afternoon, we prepare ourselves to face scorching heat waves . Why? Because we feel inside us that we are going to encounter that. Similarly, when we travel to Himalayas we have a feeling of cold. In a similar manner, when we visit a garden full of flowers, we have romantic feeling. A number of such feelings are inside us. They exist primarily on account of our previous experiences and the subsequently built inherent tendencies for objects like Sun, Hills, Flowers. The worldly objects and people are perce...

Inherent tendencies, Dr. Ashotosh, are too subtle and, at times, they become as brittle as iron rod. Every individual requires a sculptor or an artisan to carve out an "essence" from the person. Some are endowed with wealth to hire the "mentors"...

yes , PM should speak whenever required i.e. some of the issue after getting ripe seeks PM's view/opinion and if at that time nothing comes out , people gets depressed and start blaming government , which indirectly impacts popularity of the government...
